Church of St Donato
It is situated in Piazza XX Settembre, the interior was designed by the Florentine Ugo Tarchi in 1914 and the modern decoration of Elpidio Petrignani from Amelia. contains paintings by Bernardo da Gualdo, Giovan Francesco Guerrieri, Francesco Mancini, carved altars of the XVI-XVII century choir in 1692 and ceramics by Alfredo Santarelli. Reopened to the public after important renovations in 1998, was built in the time of Pope Alexander IV in 1255. It was center of the Camaldolese monks who moved there from the abbey that once stood in the Valle di Sopra.
