The Roman city of Tadinum
The excavations, started in 2004, involved a large section of the town (about 4,000 square meters) immediately to the west of the Via Flaminia, on three building complexes: the public baths, an area of the market, probably to be identified with the forum pecuarium (cattle market) and a domus.
Just south of the spa is a large artificial esplanade, closed to the east by a series of environments. The oldest, decorated with geometric motifs, can be dated around 100 BC and should probably be identified with the shrine of Hercules mentioned in an inscription of the end of the second century. A.D. found nearby. The entire complex suggests the presence of the hole business of the municipality.
South of the forum pecuarium has been investigated a number of areas relevant to a vast and complex building, probably to be identified with a large domus.
The core consists of some Western circles paved earthenware decorated with geometric motifs. To the east of the nucleus is realized, in the first decades of the second century. AD, a small spa with mosaic, onto which some tanks. The artifact, a pink and white tiles, is subject to marine stands out in particular the great figure of Neptune on chariot pulled by sea horses, in a depiction of fish and shellfish.
